About this project

Miss Tourism Boyacá is a regional beauty pageant with over 15 years of history promoting tourism in Colombia's Boyacá department. Their digital presence was limited to social media. They needed a web portal to serve as a central information hub: pageant history, previous editions gallery, participant profiles, event calendar, contestant registration form, and sponsor showcase.

The challenge

What needed to be solved

Visual content was the protagonist: hundreds of event, participant, and tourist destination photos that needed to be organized in attractive galleries without sacrificing performance. The contestant registration form had to be comprehensive (personal data, measurements, photos, social media) but mobile-friendly. The sponsor section had to be attractive to attract new brands. SEO needed to rank for "Miss Tourism Boyacá", "Boyacá beauty pageant" and "Colombia tourism contest".

How we solved it

We developed a WordPress portal with striking visual design: large image gallery with lazy loading, pageant history page with interactive timeline, magazine-style participant profiles, and a news/events section with integrated calendar. The registration form was optimized for mobile with progressive fields. The sponsor showcase includes logos and links with tracking to demonstrate ROI to sponsors. SEO was reinforced with Event schema and Boyacá tourism content.

Results

Measurable impact

The portal receives an average of 15,000 monthly visits in high season. Contestant registrations increased 40% by having a dedicated channel. They secured 3 new sponsors who contacted through the site's showcase. Media coverage of the pageant now references the website as the official source.
