About this project
CorSkin is a Colombian e-commerce specializing in Korean skincare products. Their differentiator: a skin diagnostic questionnaire that recommends personalized products based on skin type, specific concerns (acne, dark spots, wrinkles), and budget. They needed an online store that integrated this questionnaire as the core of the shopping experience.
What needed to be solved
The diagnostic questionnaire had to be the heart of the site, not a secondary feature. It had to be fast, visually appealing, and deliver actionable results. Technically, it needed to map responses to products through a recommendation matrix, generate a personalized step-by-step routine, and allow adding everything to cart with one click. Mobile experience was a priority (85% of traffic). SEO needed to target terms like "Korean skincare routine", "Korean skin products" and "best K-Beauty products".
How we solved it
We built WooCommerce with a custom theme that integrates the diagnostic questionnaire as the main page (not as a popup or secondary widget). We designed a mobile-first experience with smooth transitions between questions, a progress bar, and results presented as a visual routine. The recommendation matrix was implemented with custom PHP logic crossing 6 variables. Each product includes "why it's for you" based on skin type. SEO was reinforced with an educational blog about Korean skincare, routine guides, and product reviews.
Measurable impact
The diagnostic questionnaire is completed an average of 350 times per week with a 72% completion rate. Users who use the questionnaire have a 45% higher average ticket than direct buyers. Overall conversion rate is 3.2%, with 180% organic traffic growth in 5 months.
